The Cross Channel Film Lab is an innovative development and research project exploring VFX, stereo 3D and screenwriting for low-mid budget feature films.

The Cross Channel Film Lab supports brave, original and imaginative usage of visual effects and/or Stereo 3D in low to mid budget feature films that will enliven European storytelling and extend the international audience for European cinema.

Our latest project, CCFL Training 2015 brings together experts in screenwriting, VFX and Stereo 3D. This European programme supports writers, directors and producers to hone their low to medium budget film ideas with a 6 month (part time) programme of residential and online workshops and specialist consultancy. CCFL Training is a partnership of Le Groupe Ouest, Creative England and Falmouth University, and is funded by Creative Europe.

In development CCFL Future Lab will expand our vision and cover new forms of writing for spatial and immersive media: stereo 3D films, virtual reality, virtual spaces, videogames and more.

The Cross Channel Film Lab 2012-2014 project was delivered in partnership with Cornwall Council, Arts Centre Trust Cornwall, Creative England, University College Falmouth, Bournemouth University, Le Groupe Ouest, Artefacto, École des Beaux-Arts de Rennes, Dinard Film Festival, Télécom Bretagne and Université de Bretagne Occidentale. We are also working with a range of industry partners.
